Furthermore, one of the two Superattenuators in CAOS is an experimental version designed to eliminate certain blind frequencies identified during the Virgo experience.<br>At the end of the filter chain, a new suspension system will allow for smoother and more efficient control of the marionette that actuates the mirror&#8217;s position.<br>This 12-meter length coincides with that planned for the highest-performing seismic attenuator in the <a href=\"https:\/\/einsteintelescope.eu\/\">Einstein Telescope<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Each of the two towers of CAOS houses a 12-meter-long Superattenuator, an evolution of the Virgo Superattenuators, consisting of an inverted pendulum, four standard filters, and a special filter for controlling the suspended load.The increased length of the filter chain will allow for improved performance at low frequencies.
